This unique package also includes an instructional DVD, featuring him performing and teaching each song, to guide you through. Jake is an incredible guitarist, his arrangements are beautiful and his voicings are at once musical and economical. You won’t find any bizarre six-fret stretches here, yet his harmonies are all very full. If you’re looking for some challenging, musical, but playable arrangements that will stretch your musical imagination, get this book. He plays the tunes on an electric guitar but they translate easily to an acoustic, but having a cutaway will help on some of the tunes.
The level of playing is definitely advanced, but I think all the tunes will yield to persistence, even if you’re only a beginning level fingerstylist. The arrangements sound so interesting, I think you’ll still be interested in playing them even if it takes a few hours to begin getting them under your fingers. The book is both standard notation and tab and is high quality
