A little more about Mark Tremonti:
BANDS: Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Creed
Getting his start in Detroit, Mark Tremonti cut his musical teeth on a heavy metal upbringing and a passionate love of the guitar and songwriting. As passion turned into obsession, Mark formed late 90s post-grunge juggernaut Creed bringing a long-developed brand of signature song-writing and riff-crafting to a thriving music scene in need of something new. After creating a musical movement, Mark Tremonti dissolved Creed in the wake of music industry trials and tribulations to form one of the quintessential bands of "The Supergroup Movement" with the creation of Alter Bridge. Alter Bridge sought to bring Mark's full artistic expression to the forefront, with a complete focus on writing songs for the musicians in the band, not the radio. In true songwriting genius, Tremonti found a way to write music that did both. The guitarist did not stop there however as his musical voice rose quite literally out of decades of practice, to where in 2012, Mark decided it was time to try his hand at fronting a band; the self-named band Tremonti. Mark continues to balance multiple musical acts in his never-ending quest to prove what a guitar is capable of, and how most importantly, the song dictates all.
